Quite often we receive a request for property in Antalya that sounds something like: “Hello, I would like to buy a property in Antalya but I have no idea which area to choose.” So, here is a short review of the popular districts of Antalya.
Why buy a property in Antalya?
Antalya is a large city with a population of 2.426 million people. It has one of the biggest international airports in Turkey (AYT). Has an absolutely gorgeous climate, rich history and fantastic nature. There are so many places to see. Food enthusiasts will appreciate the wide variety of restaurants. Besides, Antalya is an international city that welcomes everyone.
Which region of Antalya is the best for living?
The city of Antalya is administratively divided into 3 large districts: Muratpasa (centreand east), Konyaalti (West) and Kepez (north).
KONYAALTI
Konyaalti is divided into 7 districts. The most popular districts among foreigners are:
Hurma, Liman, Sarisu triangle. The western part of Antalya. Lots of foreigners live here permanently. There are plenty of shops that suit European taste. They even have a pork shop.

Hurma region is located at the foot of the Taurus Mountains between the Bogachai River in the west and the Sarisu region in the east. The distance to the beach is 1-3.5 km.
The Liman area is located on the seashore between the cargo port, Hurma district and the Bogachai River. There are many cafes for every taste, a bazaar every Tuesday, a municipal beach and several beautiful private beaches.

Sarisu is located at the foot of the Taurus. From many properties in this area there are beautiful views of both the mountains and the sea. There is a cable car to the Tunektepe mountain with stunning views of Antalya. The sandy and pebble beach is located about a kilometre away. There is also a ladies-only beach.
Real estate prices in Sarisu are lower than in Hurma and Liman and the apartments are more comfortable. However, that district has one drawback that compromises all its advantages – there are water treatment facilities that occasionally emit unpleasant odours. The Antalya government has committed to solve this problem in the near future. In the meantime, you have a great opportunity to purchase a luxury apartment at a very attractive price.

Lara. The east of Antalya is called Lara. It is directly located on the cliffs. There are practically no hotels in this western part of the district, mostly residential complexes.
